Industrialization:
Doctors during World War 1 started using X-ray equipment to locate bullets during the operations. Factories that several people worked in, caused a lot of pollution in the air which created a lot of health problems for the workers, which caused many people to have to go to the hospital. Diseases accounted many deaths in the industrial cities. With a lack of hydrogen, a little knowledge of sanitary care, and no knowledge of what caused diseases.As the cities became more populated, it only got worse for people catching illnesses.
Imperialism:
Throughout World War 1, medicine wasn't a well-known thing. Nurses volunteered to help sick women and men. Soldiers lived in trenches that were little more than swamplike holes in the ground, this was were most of the diseases were spread. Such as influenza and intestinal flu. These diseases killed men more than machine guns.Doctors developed and practiced new ways to treat severe cases of tissue damage,burns and contagious diseases. As soldiers traveled, people encountered more illnesses.
